रफनेस Roughness - किसी जॉब की सरफेस पर टूल के कटिंग ऐज से जो महीन विषमताये बनती हैं उन्हें रफनेस कहते हैं । / The fine oddities created by the cutting edge of the tool on the surface of a job are called roughness.
वैवीनैस Waviness - किसी जॉब की सरफेस पर रफनेस की अपेक्षा अधिक चौड़ी विषमताओं को वैवीनैस कहते हैं । / Variations that are more wide than the roughness on the surface of a job are called Waviness.
फ्लॉज Flaws - किसी जॉब की सरफेस पर वह विषमता जो कि किसी एक स्थान या कहीं-कहीं पड़ती है वह कहलाती है । / he contrast on the surface of a job that falls in one place or another is called.
